Grey Hawk Apartments, an all-new apartment community coming to the southwest side of Cedar Rapids in January 2026. Located within the highly desirable College Community School District, Grey Hawk offers modern living with quality finishes, and an ideal location in the fastest growing area in the state.
This new development will feature one-bedroom apartment homes ranging from 750 to 855 square feet. Monthly rent starts at $1,095. Each unit will be equipped with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, in-unit washer and dryer, and private balconies. The building will include elevator access and limited access entry.
Grey Hawk Apartments is part of a mixed-income housing initiative. 51% of the property is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, meaning income eligibility requirements apply for a portion of the available units. These affordable housing opportunities aim to support residents who meet certain income criteria and expand access to high-quality living options in the area.
Individuals who were directly impacted by the August 2020 derecho will be given first priority to lease at Grey Hawk. This is part of an ongoing effort to help those affected by the storm find safe, long-term housing solutions.
